Why Schools Partner With Us
Today’s students need more support than ever to navigate post-graduation pathways, but school counselors are often stretched thin. 13th Year kiosks act as approachable, less intimidating digital guidance counselors, reinforcing your team’s efforts by giving students daily exposure to curated opportunities in a trusted environment.
Benefits for schools:
-
Adds value without extra staff time or budget burden
-
Positions your school as proactive in preparing students for life after graduation
-
Enhances your counseling program with modern, student-friendly technology
-
Offers a 13th Year Scholarship to a deserving student at your school
Secure, Compliant, & Mission Aligned
At 13th Year, we understand that schools must place student safety and data privacy above all else. That’s why our kiosks and supporting systems are designed to meet the highest standards of security and compliance.
-
No Student Data Collection
Our kiosks do not track or store personally identifiable student information. Students interact with curated content freely, without concern for data mining or targeted advertising.
-
School-Approved Content
All messages from College & Career Partners (CCPs) are reviewed and must follow strict editorial guidelines. This ensures that every opportunity, video, or announcement presented is appropriate, accurate, and educational.
-
Compliance with Standards
Our platform is built with FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) considerations in mind, and content delivery is designed to complement—not complicate—school compliance obligations.
-
Secure Infrastructure
From hardware placement to cloud-based content management, every kiosk is managed with security best practices. Access is limited to authorized school and 13th Year personnel, with routine monitoring to ensure reliability.
Bottom line: Schools can confidently integrate 13th Year kiosks knowing the system is safe, compliant, and aligned with the educational mission.
How the Kiosks Work
Our kiosks are strategically placed in high-traffic areas of your school—hallways, cafeterias, commons—where students naturally gather or spend time. They operate 18 hours a day, showing curated opportunities in 10–15 second rotations that repeat. Slots are reserved exclusively for college and career partners (all materials reviewed by school administration), promoting:
-
Trades, college, military, scholarships, and career options
-
Our 13th Year Scholarship
-
School-specific announcements, counselor services, etc.
-
Event highlights (college fairs, FAFSA nights, etc.)
-
Professional highlights
This balanced mix ensures students receive relevant, repeated exposure while schools retain a voice on the kiosk.
